Shemiza will be our compere for the MLE Live Shows, she’ll keep things moving along and keep you informed throughout the event.
Described as a mini media Power house - Shemiza is a multi award winning interfaith art practitioner, producer, broadcaster, teacher and mother of 6. She is the founder of the Creative Muslim network and Shining Ummah children’s performing arts club.
A popular and growing voice across community and regional radio Shemiza can be heard as a guest panellist on BBC asian network and BBC three counties radio .
Her drive and commitment to muslim creativity got her shortlisted for the best muslim female radio presenter and most innovative Muslim radio show for the Momo awards.
Shemiza’s creative insight made her the first ever female judge for a national Muslim music and nasheed contest. Shemiza has recently produced the entertaining cooking series * For the love of food* on Islam channel and is a guest writer for Saverah Women’s magazine .
She won the notable Asian woman of achievement for the Public Service 2014.
Her quirky sense of humour and infectious personality has made her popular host for leading fashion and lifestyle events across the UK .

Zaf Shabbir
Zaf Shabir - the most versatile British Pakistani model & creative director in Fashion. Predominantly known for his mane of hair, beard and fierce look, alongside a strong background in Fashion Design and Buying, Zaf has become an establishment within the field. He has collaborated with clientele worldwide, including some of the biggest names in Pakistani & Middle Eastern fashion, including HSY, Umar Sayeed and Mehdi to name a few. He is the exclusive Creative Director for an international tour of Pakistani fashion shows in London UK, LA, New York & Toronto.
In 2014, Male Model of the Year was awarded to Zaf at the Pakistan fashion Awards, Best Actor at the London Film Festival, and the Art, Culture & Fashion Award at Pakistan Achievement Awards in 2014. With a huge genre of expertise within the creative industry, Zaf respectively can project perspectives from every creative, be it a model, designer or a make up artist, you’re in very capable hands to ensure you deliver the best to enhance your brand.
Guzzy Bear
Guzzy Bear, Comedian
Guz Khan is an Actor, Writer and Standup Comedian from the notoriously gangster city that is Coventry (It’s got spires shaped like machine guns and drug dealers that use a highly trained group of Yorkshire terriers to distribute their crystal meth). He was asked by the BBC Big Comedy Night team to appear as a guest performer at their annual event in Birmingham. This was extremely well received by both the audience and the mainstream and led to further comedic opportunities.
Guz also wrote and starred in the recent short film series for BBC iPlayer and Baby Cow productions, Roadman Ramadan. This was in the top ten most viewed iPlayer programmes on its release. There are currently discussions in place for the character to be taken ahead as a new sitcom for 2016.
Sadia Azmat
Sadia Azmat, Comedian
In 2010, Sadia started performing stand-up comedy. In August 2011, she performed her debut show Please Hold – You’re Being Transferred to a UK Based Asian Representative at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In August 2011, she also featured on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row and a producer invited her to perform at the Cape Town Festival 2012.
Sadia’s act is observational humour about her experiences working as a call centre operative for a well-known car insurance firm, being a British Asian growing up in London, and moves on to more general cross-cultural issues, about race and religion, her difficulties in the UK job market and an Asian mum gag.

In September 2011, she was shortlisted for the Funny Women Awards final in Leicester Square Theatre, London.
